I’m looking for a team member to join me on a two-person expedition from source to sea along Sri Lanka’s longest river.
On foot and by kayak we’ll follow the 208 mile length through a variety of Sri Lanka’s landscapes, from the country’s second highest peak, through tea plantations, to passing alongside the boundaries of little visited national parks that are home to leopards and elephant, until we reach the island’s east coast and the Indian ocean.
The only requirement is to be available from 27th August – 14th September this year, with the whole adventure including return (UK-Sri Lanka) flights budgeted at £1000 per person.
No previous kayaking or adventure experience is needed. This adventure would suit anyone with a vaguely inquisitive mind and a desire to challenge themselves with something out of the ordinary, so if this excites your interest contact me directly on ian@encircleafrica.org, or help spread the word to anyone who you think might be interested.
Me, me I need a challenge and a reason to get fitter ! Mad Welshman and I promise not to sing all the way down river !
Cheers
