In what has been a difficult year for everyone, it’s difficult to know quite where to start in reviewing 2020. As travel plans rapidly disintegrated to nothing by the beginning of March, I turned my attention to writing from my south London desk.
As a result, I have worked 21 clients on all five (I think) traditional continents, covering stories and issues as diverse as the best road trips in the United States and reasons to stick the Turks and Caicos Islands on your bucket list.
It also meant I had time to begin a new series of guides on Africa’s many destinations and tourist attractions, hopefully dispelling many of the nonsenses that continue to linger about the continent. The plan is for these guides to expand weekly over the coming year or two, eventually covering the entirety of Africa in scope.

Alternatively, you could check out my online lecture to the York and District Geographical Association (in conjunction with the Royal Geographical Society Yorkshire and North East) in which I discuss my journey on foot through Bangladesh.
