Encircle Africa: Around Africa by Public Transport

One result of my Encircle Africa expedition was a collection of nine spiral-bound reporters notebooks purchased across the continent, containing approximately 120,000 words that formed my thoughts and everyday experiences.

It has taken me the last 13 months – the same amount of time it took me to actually circumnavigate Africa by public transport – to form these scribblings into a narrative account of the journey.

Available on Amazon now

Encircle Africa: Around Africa by Public Transport is already available for readers of Kindle ebooks. A paperback edition has a release date of 30th November, in just a couple of weeks’ time, and is already available to pre-order with Amazon’s pre-order price guarantee.

By the end of the month iPad users will also hopefully be able to purchase an ebook edition from the iBookstore, and edition that contains over 100 of my best photographs from the 25,000 mile journey.

As I state in the introductory note to each of these editions, writing the account of my journey challenged me just as much as the journey itself. It is an honest account of my experiences travelling through 31 nations along Africa’s coastline, and I hope my experiences act as a marked contrast to the routine portrayal of our planet’s oldest and poorest continent.
